Where do we start?
So where do we start? I’ve been asking myself that same question for a very long time. I’ve come to the conclusion that we should just start.
I tend to over think things so much that I don’t actually do what I set out to do. So here goes.
Let me just be clear about something before we start. I am not a medical doctor or anything similar. The opinions I have are based on research I have done and my training as a laser therapist. I practise Low Level Laser Therapy for weight loss and skin care. This is what sparked my chain of interests into health.
There are probably various reasons why you are reading this post today. You might feel stressed, anxious or even empty inside. Maybe you are feeling that you are failing as a mom, wife or as a person in general. Or maybe you just want some motivation to be a healthier you.
You need to look at the things that could affect your state of mind from a physical point of view. Our environment and food is loaded with various elements that could put strain on our body’s ability to process toxins. And our emotions can get greatly amplified by the state of our bodies. A balanced diet, lots of water (my personal downfall) and physical activity is key. “But I am doing all of this, and I am still tired, overweight and depressed!”. It could be that your body needs a good cleanse, my friend. A while back I had terrible brain fog. I could memorise a simple amount from an invoice to enter into my on line banking to pay. I literally had to go back for each number. So I did a bit of a detox and that improved dramatically. That is just one place you can see there is a bit of an issue.
So where do all these toxins come from? It could come from what you breath in, from what you eat to what you apply to your skin. Keeping your co-worker company while they smoke leads to you inhaling the smoke they exhale. Various skin care products that contain harmful ingredients get absorbed through your skin. And then through the food we eat.
You would think that the main channel to get toxins into your body would be through your mouth. I was actually shocked when the penny dropped on my side about how much we absorb through our skin. Our skin is our biggest organ and it absorbed whatever it gets into contact with. So if you are going to swim in a lead infussed dam, guess what, you are going to absorb that lead. As an example. Lead is a heavy metal together with mercury (found in “silver” dental filling and contaminated fish) and cadmium (found in artificial fertilizer).
